No longer homeless!

We found a flat! Well I should say the other half found a flat who handed over the flat deposit without hesitation.

We are now living in a 9 bedroom, 4 story converted mansion in the heart of Clapham Junction. Who knew living with 14 other people of different nationalities could be so fun. It took us a full 5 weeks before we even knew who we were living with. We joke that we could be getting robbed and we would just think the person was our house mate!

The perks of living with this many people you ask? Being fed homemade mulled wine by our house Frenchy, getting delicious leftover dinners from the basement Aussies who's eyes are too big for their bellies and have continuous drunken cookups and the continuous lifesaver of someone always being home to let you in if you forget your keys!

The nightmare that is London flat hunting...

Whenever some one warns you about how hard it is finding a decent flat in London.. take their word for it!  After such a find of a flat in Edinburgh, I thought London would be a piece of cake... man was I wrong!

It has been 3 weeks and we are yet to find a flat that we want to call home. Between accepting an amazing attic room in a kiwi flat in Hammersmith that we were eventually beaten out over another couple, to viewing a 'furnished flat' only to find a mattress on the floor, we are now close to setting up a bed at the tube station! 

We are dreaming of the day when our afternoons consist of us heading home after a long day at work instead of racing around London putting ourselves on show for people we hope to see us as potential roomies.
